Jesus said “My house will be called a house of prayer.”
In my first year in office here much has been achieved. We are a small number but growing in stature as the body of Christ. We have taken steps to make the building more open and inviting in order to encourage people into the warm welcome that awaits them.
After months of prayer and agonising over what God would have us do I heard those words “My house will be called a house of prayer.” Suddenly it became clear, instead of worrying about the gifts and resources we don’t have we need to harness and make full use of what we do have.
We all have the privilege of drawing near to God the Father in prayer and more things can be wrought through prayer than we could ever think or imagine. So often I hear it said “all we can do is pray” when faced with a difficult situation but prayer should be the first action not the last when all else fails.
I am excited by what God will do in and through us in 2011. The building is open for anyone to come in and pray; whether you want time to be alone to just sit and be with God, to share and receive prayer or to join in with our weekly prayer times. (See 'what's on')
Just pop in, ring or drop me an email.
You are very welcome
